Hopeful Connections This service offers individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide the opportunity to speak with our trained volunteers. The purpose of the program is to support recent survivors as they navigate an incredibly difficult journey—by offering emotional support, fostering connection, and sharing valuable resources.
Available through in-person meetings or phone calls, our volunteers understand the profound sense of isolation that often accompanies this kind of loss. They are committed to helping survivors find a way forward by creating a safe space where those who are grieving can express their feelings and ask questions to someone who truly understands their experience.
When someone reaches out for support, we ask a few questions about their loss to ensure that we connect them with a volunteer who has faced a similar journey. The peer-support volunteer will then follow up to schedule a conversation at a time and place that feels comfortable for the individual.
